Effective date: January 9, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Termin (including the Termin application, website at termin.co.za, and related services). By using Termin, you agree to these Terms.

1. Using Termin

You may use Termin for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for the actions taken using your devices, accounts, and connections configured in Termin.

2. Remote Connections and Security

Termin can connect to third-party systems and services (e.g., SSH, RDP, FTP, SFTP). 3. Accounts, Settings, and Stored Data

Termin may store session profiles, logs, or other settings locally on your device and/or via configured backends. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and any sensitive data you store or import into Termin.

4. Open Source Software

Termin includes open-source components and may be distributed under the MIT License (see the License page). Open-source license terms apply to those components and may grant you additional rights.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Termin for unlawful activity or to violate others' rights.
  • Attempt to interfere with the security or operation of Termin services or infrastructure.
  • Distribute malware, exploit code, or payloads using Termin where you do not have permission to do so.

6. Privacy

7. Disclaimers

Termin is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. Remote access is inherently risky; you assume all risks associated with configuring and using remote connections.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Termin and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of Termin.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to any hosted services (if applicable) if you violate these Terms. You may stop using Termin at any time.
